We're Steve and Heidi, a brother and sister from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and we opened Sportscard Playground in 1996. We're honest, hard-working, and very committed to building relationships with our customers. That's what it's all about for us ... taking care of our customers by providing a great selection, reasonable prices, and a family-friendly environment. We're happy to say that we have many of the same customers since 1996, and it's been a neat experience to watch 10 year old kids grow into 30 year old (plus) adults! We now have the next generation of customers bringing their kids here, which is both delightful and makes us feel very old!.

WE SPECIALIZE IN BOXES. We're known for having the largest selection of CURRENT YEAR HOBBY BOXES in the area and carry almost every new release (both sports and non-sports)! We have a GREAT SELECTION of BLASTER BOXES and a sampling of packs as well. While we primarily specialize in NEW RELEASES, we also have boxes going back a few years...especially those with hot rookies. (We do not carry vintage items at all.) We have a nice assortment of single cards (including rookies), especially of local players. We carry miscellaneous sports novelties, including a full line of Riddell mini helmets and some bobble heads. Team sets are a must for our customers, and we offer them for all of our home teams and assorted other cities. POKEMON is HUGE here, and we have an AWESOME selection (at GREAT prices!) of more than 15 BOOSTER BOXES and even more PACKS. If you're looking for POKEMON ELITE TRAINERS, GIFT SETS, or TINS...we're your go-to place! We also have a decent selection of Magic:The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh boxes.

SPORTSCARD PLAYGROUND IS VERY COMMUNITY ORIENTED. We are annual supporters of the KAT HALL WIFFLE BALL CLASSIC, a local charity that raises money for deserving area families. We're proud of our HUGE ANNUAL TOY DRIVE for TOYS-FOR-TOTS. Our customers really make a difference for hundreds of local families every year. A donation is also made annually to our local MAKE-A-WISH chapter. Sportscard Playground proudly supports many local schools, churches, and PTA's with prizes and raffle baskets for their annual carnivals, bingo's, and other fund raisers. We have in the past provided items for other charitable endeavors, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Bucks County, the Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk, MS, MDA, and local beef-and-beers for those in need in our community.
